2009-2010 CRASC Awards
This spring, CRASC will recognize the Advisor of the Year and Principal of the Year. Additionally, CRASC's School Award will be given to schools with exemplary student governments who meet a certain percentage of points on the award application. Applications are due to the Office of Student Leadership and Involvement by April 23, 2010. Applications are attached below.
CRASC Officer Nominations Open March 24
Nominations for the 2010-2011 CRASC Officers will open on March 24 and continue until April 13. A candidates meeting will be held on April 7th for all interested students to learn more about the positions. Meet the CRASC Officer Candidates Night will be held during the April Executive Board Meeting at Arlington Echo on April 14, 2010 from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. Nomination forms are attached below and will be available at the March 24th SMOB Elections.
Scholarship and Nomination Forms Due
Students interested in applying for the Casual Day Scholarship to attend Maryland Leadership Workshops (MLW) must turn in their scholarship form by March 17th.
Seniors interested in applying for the Sage Snider Leadership Scholarship must turn in their scholarship form by April 20th.
CRASC Officer Nomination forms will be accepted from March 24 until April 13th.

CRASC February GA Postponed, MASC Leg. Session Postponed
CRASC's February General Assembly scheduled for February 10th is postponed due to the weather until February 17th.
MASC's Legislative Session scheduled for February 13th is also postponed due to the weather until March 20th.
Forum Leaders Needed for February General Assembly
If you are interested in leading a forum on Lobbying or Youth Related Bills at the February 10th General Assembly, you should attend the February 3rd Executive Staff meeting at Arlington Echo from 7-8:30 p.m. to receive training.
SMOB Nomination Process Open February 10-March 3, 2010
All juniors in good standing at an Anne Arundel County public high school are eligible to be nominated for the 2010-11 Student Member on the Board of Education seat. This position represents the student voice on the Board of Education and is the only student in the entire country that has FULL voting rights on all issues before the Board. Students must be nominated by their peers starting on February 10 through 5 p.m. on March 3, 2010. The formal nomination form is attached and is also available from each high school principal or student government advisor.
Anne Arundel County Model Government Program
On March15, 2010, selected 10th and 11th grade students will have the opportunity to “take over the reins” of government and serve as elected officials and department heads. Students will have the opportunity to attend an orientation to county government, shadow a county government official, and participate in a mock council meeting.
Middle School General Assembly- January 28th
On January 28, 2010, all middle school student governments are invited to attend the CRASC Middle School Conference at the Board of Education from 9:45-12:45pm. During this event, middle school students will attend forums/workshops on middle school related issues and participate in a middle school only general assembly.
